WE ARE RAISING AWARENESS ABOUT YOUTH HOMELESSNESS THROUGH THE LIGHTHOUSE FOUNDATION CUT OUT YOUTH HOMELESSNESS CAMPAIGN FOR THE FEAST OF THE SACRED HEART
Every year around the Feast of the Sacred Heart, we remember the divine love and compassion of the heart of Jesus towards all humanity and following this example, we open our hearts to vulnerable people in our society. As such Xavier College are collecting donations of goods for people experiencing homelessness and have signed up to the Lighthouse Foundation Cut Out Youth Homelessness Campaign to raise awareness about youth homelessness in our community.
In the lead up to the Feast of the Sacred Heart we are displaying 97 life sized cut-outs of young people of all ages and backgrounds around the school to represent the number of young people experiencing homelessness in the City of Boroondara, where our school is situated.
