Pop Choir Australia have written, produced and recorded their first charity single called “Windows with Smiles” to spread awareness and raise money for Lighthouse Foundation https://www.lighthousefoundation.org.au/
The single was produced by the renowned Melbourne music producer Simon Moro and was written by Darryl John Moulton, one of the directors of Pop Choir.
350 everyday community members from Pop Choir Australia came together to take on this challenge of a lifetime: recording the very first Pop Choir charity single called “Windows with Smiles” and film a music video. These members sang their parts at the iconic Iwaki Auditorium, home to the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. The music video was filmed both inside the Iwaki Auditorium and outside the Lighthouse Foundation’s office, as well as at the LMC Recording Studio Melbourne.
Eleanor Chadwick, a member of Pop Choir Mordialloc, played the main role in the music video, which was filmed in the famous laneways and streets of Melbourne’s CBD.
This is the first time ever in the history of Australia that a community choir has recorded and filmed their very own, original professional pop song and music video of this magnitude.
The whole project was completely self-funded by Pop Choir and the members involved in the recording, in hope of raising awareness and vital funds to support Lighthouse Foundation and its mission to end youth homelessness in Australia.
After sharing the song with the world, the Pop Choir has had many media opportunities, including ABC radio, The Morning Show and The Age Newspaper.
Pop Choir all share one common interest. Their love and passion for singing.
To bring the year to a big finale the Pop Choir along with the infamous Jemma Rix and other special guests will perform on stage. The show will be held at the iconic Palais Theatre in St Kilda. Melbourne’s home of live music, where many of the top Australian and international stars and graced the stage before us.
This
is the first time ever Pop Choir will be hosting it’s very own professionally
produced show, working along side some of the best professionals in the
entertainment industry.
Pop Choir continue to spread the message on the work of Lighthouse Foundation. We invite you to help us raise vital funds for the cause and spread Lighthouse Foundation's message far and wide.
